NFLPA Ranks Colts' Turf Best Out of 14 teams Using Artificial SurfaceThe Colts home, Lucas Oil Stadium, was voted the best artificial playing surface in the NFL as the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) announced its biennial rankings of NFL stadiums last week at the Super Bowl Media Center in Dallas. A total of 1,619 active NFL players from all 32 teams took part in the survey.
This is the second consecutive time the playing field at Lucas Oil Stadium has been voted the best in the NFL by the NFLPA.
Lucas Oil Stadium's playing surface is FieldTurf. FieldTurf has been voted the best playing surface in the last five rankings by the NFLPA. This season, six of the top-eight artificial playing surfaces were FieldTurf.
This marks another honor for Lucas Oil Stadium. In 2009, Stadium Journey named Lucas Oil Stadium the best place in the NFL for a fan to witness a game after reviewing all 31 NFL stadiums.
