INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance will add their logo to
a patch worn on all player practice jerseys beginning at training
camp August 3rd in Terre Haute. Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance also
is the Naming Rights sponsor of the Indianapolis Colts Practice
Facility. The announcement was made yesterday by Tom
Zupancic, senior vice president of sales & marketing for the
Colts. NFL owners voted back in March to permit sponsors'
patches on practice jerseys not exceeding 31/2 by 41/2 inches.
"It's very timely this year because Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance is celebrating their 75th anniversary," said Zupancic. "We really want to build up a lot of equity in the patch because it's unique and it's never been offered on a uniform in the NFL. It is groundbreaking."
"This is the first year this sponsorship opportunity for the Indianapolis Colts' practice jerseys has been ever been presented," said Jerry Canada, Executive Vice President and CEO, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. "As an Indiana company of nearly 75 years who insurers Hoosiers in all 92 counties, the partnership made perfect sense to marry our current title sponsorship of the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center, the practice jerseys and the celebration of our 75th anniversary during the 2009-2010 season."
