HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on DB-Bob Sanders and if he's expected to play) * *
"He's going to play. So, we'll probably take a look at him again today and see how he does. He's feeling good. We rested him yesterday just to give him an opportunity to get a little freshness for a day. He'll be back at it today. He's doing fine. If he can go, he's starting."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on going by the philosophy that you don't lose your job by injury)
"I think every case is different. I don't think you can just make a blanket statement in that regard. For the most part, we look at that as a factor."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on if DB-Bob Sanders is eager and if he has to pull him back)
"Very. I think with all highly competitive individuals you always have to pull them back, and he's one of those."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on how much DB-Bob Sanders will play)
"Not really sure, yet. We'll wait and see. We have a few days. It's prudent to see how it all unfolds and see where he is come game day and kind of make an adjustment, accordingly. We have an idea of what we want to do."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on being close to full strength in the defensive backfield)
"You know how this game is. It's such a physical game, a lot of collisions. You're very rarely completely healthy."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on if DB-Tim Jennings will play)
"We'll see how he does today. It's questionable."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on if OG-Jamey Richard will play)
"He's feeling a lot better. He could play if we need him."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on if RB-Chad Simpson will play and if he'll return kickoffs)
"He's back today. We'll see what happens with him today when we get him back out there, but we kind of plan that he'll return the kickoffs. DB-T.J. (Rushing) could be involved in it. It just depends on how ( Chad) feels. I think he's in pretty good shape, and we think he can go. So, more than likely, Chad will do the kickoff returns at this juncture."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on K-Matt Stover)
"He's kicked very well. Obviously, you imagined he would. The guy is certainly a true professional and very good at what he does. He's done a great job. The guys I think have gotten the timing down, where it's suitable for him and works for him well. (Special Teams Coordinator) Ray (Rychleski) has been pleased with the way in which he's worked. He's certainly a great team guy. He's great to have around, you can see that from the first two or three minutes you're around him. It's great to have him."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on DT-Fili Moala)
"Yes, (he's practiced well). Now, we get an opportunity to see what happens come gameday."
