HEAD COACH JACK DEL RIO (on playing the Colts) 10/20/04 “We look forward to the challenge.

HEAD COACH JACK DEL RIO (on playing the Colts) 10/20/04

"We look forward to the challenge. They're a good football team and they've been playing very well."

HEAD COACH JACK DEL RIO (on if there is anything to Jacksonville not having a good record in domes) 10/20/04

"My philosophy on all that is that good football teams win indoors, outdoors, in the mud, in the snow, wherever they are. We've just been down for a few years and Indy has been up, and they have a dome, so, they've been winning."

HEAD COACH JACK DEL RIO (on LB-Mike Peterson) 10/20/04

"I think Mike's done a great job for us. It all starts with the two big tackles (John Henderson and Marcus Stroud) in front of him, but he's done a great job of coming in here and emerging as a leader. He brings energy and excitement to the huddle, and we're happy to have him."

HEAD COACH JACK DEL RIO (on having the poise to win at the end of games) 10/20/04

"I think it comes down to making plays. Not to over-simplify it, but we were in a lot of close ballgames last year and did not make those plays. We spent a lot of time focusing on being successful in two-minute and four-minute drives. Thus far in the season, we've been fairly successful in that area."

LB-MIKE PETERSON (on how having played the Colts three weeks ago will change the game plan) 10/20/04

"You can't change too much. We were right there in the game. I'm sure they're going to change a couple of wrinkles here and there, but basically, what we did the last time we played them is pretty much going to be the same. It's just a matter of doing what you're doing, and doing it right."

LB-MIKE PETERSON (on how much confidence they have in the fourth quarter) 10/20/04

"We feel like if we are right there in the game in the fourth quarter, we can win it. Put our offense on the field, and let them do what they do."

LB-MIKE PETERSON (on the differences in playing for Jim Mora, Tony Dungy and Jack Del Rio) 10/20/04

"All three have the same goal: they all want to win and love winning. I think playing with Coach Dungy my last year in Indy was, actually, a lot different from when I first came here. Jack, he's a guy that's right there in the mix with everything. He's probably just as fired up as I am on Sundays. Both are different, but both have goals of trying to win."

LB-MIKE PETERSON (on how a team under Head Coach Tony Dungy can be fired up with his quiet manner) 10/20/04

"Because you want to go play for him. The thing with Coach Dungy is that he treated us all like men, and that's kind of what you expected. And he's a guy that you wanted to go out and do well for, so he would look good and his coaching style will work. Coach Del Rio is just the opposite. He's a fiery guy. He's going to get us pumped up, and that's another reason you want to go out and play and do well for him."

LB-MIKE PETERSON (on how this game could affect the division race) 10/20/04

"We don't even talk about that. As far as where we are in the season, we're trying to pile up as many wins as we can back-to-back and look at it after that, later in the season. Right now, it's too early to be talking about where we're at in the division or where we could be or should be."
