Welcome to the first installment of It Goes Down In The Mentions. My name is Amber and I'm the Colts Social Media Coordinator. One part of my job is reading every Tweet that gets sent to the @ColtsTwitter account. The Colts are 0-2 after back to back 8-8 seasons. Here's a taste of my world: Each week I'll pull my favorite Tweets sent to the Colts account to show you what gameday looks like through my eyes. It'll be fun. Promise. The first thing we post on gameday is the gameday graphic. I expected this to bring some heat after a loss of almost 40 to the Rams.
Yes, Simon. Let me keep this nationally televised game quiet.
Rick with the bold move here to let a GIF speak for himself supplying no context to his Tweet. I got the point, though. Next up is the roof update which we post every gameday morning around 8-8:30AM. Would you be surprised if I told you the roof Tweet was one of our most engaging Tweets of the day? Who knew a closed roof would set off almost 70 fans.
Lisa, I feel you. I really do. Those Packers/Steelers/Broncos/etc fans don't need shade. They're tough. But this is Indiana. And we have the option to not supply 2nd degree burns to our fans during a sunny and 87 degree day.
This Tweet has no purpose nor do I know what it means but I wanted to share it with you because it's weird and I get this kind of stuff all the time. For context, it was in response to our kickoff Tweet. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Frank scored a touchdown in the first quarter and the fans were excited. VERY excited:
Chuck was under fire for not challenging Mack's potential TD last week. This week? Well…
The Colts were on offense to start the second half. Brissett sandwich time?
Don't live in the past, Faux Andy Luck.
Appreciate the update, Nick.
I've always been a fan of this Arians GIF. Dylan had a solid Tweet as we announced overtime after icing the Cardinals' kicker.
WE KNOW.
These are always my favorite. This gem came after I posted the Player Spotlight which is a sponsored element we do on gamedays. It's happening whether you like it or not, Tommy.
My favorite Tweet of the night. Mathis saves the day. Next up? The Browns. Here's a sneak peek:
