HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on a big division game) Wednesday, September 12, 2007* *
"It is a big game. Early in the year, a division game, opening 1-0, the fact we split last year, I think all those things point to it being a great game, and we're looking forward to it."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on playing against so many former players) Wednesday, September 12, 2007
"We don't really worry about that too much. I don't think Tennessee has a problem with knowing what we do. They've played us enough. They know what we do. We know what they do to a great extent, and usually the team that doesn't fumble the ball or doesn't throw interceptions, that kicks well and covers well and tackles well, that's who is going to win. So, again, it's not something that we've been really concerned with."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on if he takes it as a compliment that a division team would stock up with so many former players) Wednesday, September 12, 2007
"I don't know that they're trying to stock up with our former players, but I think everybody is trying to get good players. They have a few good ones that used to play for us. We have one good one that used to play for them. Now, that's just the way football is. We've had lot of good players leave here, and several of them have ended up down there."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on what makes QB-Vince Young special) Wednesday, September 12, 2007
"He can do a lot of things. He's really a guy who is a winner. That's probably the biggest thing he's done for them, that when they're 14 points down or 17 down or they're 0-5, they still believe that they can win with him. And that is probably the biggest thing I think he has given them, is confidence, no matter what the situation is, that he can make it happen and they can win."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on if the Titans offensive rushing performance last week will change the way the Colts game plan for them) Wednesday, September 12, 2007
"Not really. They had a couple of interesting formations. They got into some things that really gave Jacksonville some problems, but they have a good running attack. They have two good backs, a quarterback you have to deal with running the ball, too, so it makes it tough. But what we have to do is play aggressively, to get off the field on third downs, to stop them when we get the chance. That's what we didn't do last year in the second game really well. They converted a lot of third downs, and we have to look at how we can be a little bit better that way."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the Titans running the ball under Jeff Fisher) Wednesday,
"That's their strength right now. They have at least two backs that can really pound it in there and run. They have a quarterback that they do
