HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on how today went) Training Camp
"A little bit sluggish today for us. We had some errors and some mistakes in some of the drills. We had a night off last night. We're kind of getting to that time where concentration is maybe not the highest. So, we talked about it. I think maybe our veterans will get those points across to the young guys. It is just really, really important to concentrate at this time of camp."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the overall accomplishments of camp) Training Camp
"We've been good. This is probably the first disappointing day that we've had, that we didn't make progress. But all in all I think we have worked hard. I think we are building the right foundation."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on LB-Clint Session) Training Camp
"Clint has a lot of quick twitch in his body. He's got striking ability. He's done a great job in terms of hitting and playing on the special teams. His big thing will just be getting those assignments down where he doesn't have to think, where he's going to let that natural quickness and that striking ability come through. He's getting better and better at it."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the goals of Preseason Game 2 vs. Preseason Game 1) Training Camp
"A little bit different, some more things we want to accomplish. We want to get a little more continuity with our first groups, play them a little bit longer, see some, not progress, but just get to see them play more. You kind of had in your mind who played well and who practiced well in Week 1 and who needs a little bit more time, so you want to see those guys get a little more in Week 2 and come on."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on his coaching philosophy compared to Lovie Smith's) Training Camp
"It is probably pretty similar in a lot of ways. You have things that you want to accomplish. You have a lot of faith in your team that they can get those things done. You want to build your team so you don't beat yourself. You give yourself the best chance to win and I know those are things that Lovie believes in definitely."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on DE-Jeff Charleston) Training Camp
"Jeff's doing well. He's a guy that just seems to make a lot of plays when he's out there. He does things the way you want them done. He's not afraid to try things the coaches want to get done and he is a very conscientious guy. Long arms, a lot of hustle, he reminds me a lot of Josh Thomas when Josh first came in."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on being tough getting down to a 53-man roster) Training Camp
"It is [getting tough]. We were talking about that the other night as a coaching staff, that we're going to have some really tough decisions at a lot of positions. Some of our guys who are really doing well on special teams, and we're going to put an emphasis on that, guys like Trent Shelton and Ramon Guzman, who right now may not be in the top group of their position, but they are standing out on special teams. It is going to be a tough situation, how we go, and I think we are going to have a lot of good players to look at that last cut."
