HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the past week's practice in preparation for Saturday's preseason game) Training Camp
"We've come to the end of the week and I thought especially by the end of the week we'd recovered pretty well, and we're looking forward to the game Saturday. We'll have a few guys who won't play but I think the guys that are going to play will be rested up and ready to go and ready to perform really well."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the backup quarterbacks) Training Camp
"Well, they want to do well and they want to keep the offense going with what everybody is used to. That will be the challenge and we want to see who can do that. We have high expectations whether our backup quarterbacks are in there or backup whatever. We want to see who can function as they would with the first unit."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on any lineup changes for Saturday's preseason game vs. Buffalo) Training Camp
"Not a whole lot. We'd like to get the defense a little more time than the offense. We want some of our young guys to step in there defensively. Offensively we'll start to filter guys in we want to look at and see if they can keep things going."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the work ethic of wide receivers Marvin Harrison, Brandon Stokley and Reggie Wayne) Training Camp
"They're outstanding. I think that has as much to do with their success as their talent. They can all run and they can all catch the ball. But they know the game, they've learned the game, they've studied it. They work tremendously hard at their craft and they really are a joy to watch."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on Reggie Wayne's performance last season) Training Camp
"We always thought it was coming. Every year since I've been here his numbers have gone up and he's gotten progressively better. I think he just got some opportunities and took advantage of them. But he did what we expected him to do."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on if WR-Reggie Wayne's confidence has increased) Training Camp
"I think that's right. Week in and week out it doesn't matter who the defense is, he can go out there and do his job and he expects to have a big day every week. We all know not everybody can have it every week in this offense but I think all of those guys, feel any given week could be theirs."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on having his wide receivers rather than Terrell Owens) Training Camp
"It is good to have guys like we have on our team where you don't have a lot of issues and drama. I think any coach appreciates that and I appreciate all of our guys but our receivers in particular. It's a tough deal. You want to go out every week and be productive and sometimes you do have to share the spotlight, and they are great about it."
