HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on Colts and Jacksonville being very familiar with each other) Thursday, December 16, 2010
"It boils down to execution. We have a pretty good idea of what they are going to do. They have a pretty good idea of what we are going to do. It's just whoever does what they do best. That's what it boils down to. I think everybody is going to add a wrinkle or two. That's part of the preparation. You try to add something here or there, but for the most part, I think, you are going to see them stay pretty true to form, and the same thing will be happening on our side."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on how much has Jacksonville's offense changed with offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter calling the plays) Thursday, December 16, 2010
"This is his third year at least, maybe his fourth, and even during that time period they've gone through a few changes here and there, but of late, their last couple of years, boy, they've been running the ball extremely well. They haven't been real complicated. I think they do a great job of maximizing the strengths of all of their guys on offense. They run the ball extremely well. They have a tight end that can do a little bit of both, in terms of blocking and pass-catching, so they maximize him. Their quarterback is one, it's not a wide open passing attack, but I think what they do with him sort of suits his strengths, and they execute, very, very well."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on Jacksonville's offense not doing a lot of trick plays or confusion, they will just line up and attack you) Thursday, December 16, 2010
"Yes, it's not anything that is going to require any guess work. You are going to know exactly where they are when they line up on both sides of the ball, and it's just a matter of whether or not you can out-execute them."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on an injury update on WR-Austin Collie) Thursday, December 16, 2010
"He looks good. He looks like he is going to be able to play."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on an injury update on LB-Clint Session) Thursday, December 16, 2010
"He's practicing for the first time this week. Typically, we like to see how he progresses through this time. We are giving him a little bit more work here and there, but not quite certain. He is day-to-day."
HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL (on an injury update on OT-Charlie Johnson) Thursday, December 16, 2010
"Charlie, we will wait and see. He's kind of day-to-day."
