June 6 mini-camp practice to be held at Franklin
College
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts will conduct a full-squad mini-camp practice at Franklin College on Saturday, June 6 from approximately 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., the club announced. Purchase your tickets at this link http://www.franklincollege.edu/colts/Tickets.cfm
"We are very excited about teaming with Franklin College for this opportunity," said Colts Owner and C.E.O. Jim Irsay. "The Colts have enjoyed wonderful support in Franklin and its surrounding areas for many years, and this will provide a chance for those fans to see our team in a practice environment. We hope people will come to Franklin College to see us as we go through preparations for the 2009 season."
The session will be part of a three-practice, three-day mini-camp that includes veterans, rookies and first-year players. Players will be wearing helmets and shorts and will not engage in full contact. This will be the second full-squad session under Head Coach Jim Caldwell. Caldwell became the club's head coach in January.
Prior to the practice, the team will conduct a brief autograph session around the perimeter of the field. Franklin College will charge a $10 admission fee to the practice. There are no provisions to re-schedule the event if the practice is affected by weather.
The session at Franklin College marks only the second time the club has taken a mini-camp practice away from Indianapolis. The club held a same such practice at Ball State in 2004.
