The Indianapolis Colts will continue their preseason slate with a FOX nationally televised road contest on Sunday against the New York Giants. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at MetLife Stadium.
In the preseason opener last week, the Colts fell to the Buffalo Bills, 44-20, at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Despite the loss, Indianapolis saw scoring on offense, defense and special teams. QB-Matt Hasselbeckconnected with a diving WR-T.Y. Hiltonfor a 45-yard touchdown completion to end the first quarter. OLB-Caesar Rayfordrecorded a sack-fumble on Bills QB-Jeff Tuel and CB-Daxton Swansonreturned it 72 yards for a touchdown. K-Adam Vinatieriwas 2-of-2 for the day after hitting field goals from 25 and 44 yards. S-Delano Howellled both teams with 11 total tackles, including six solo stops.
The Giants won their first preseason game, 18-13, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. QB-Eli Manning and WR-Victor Cruz highlighted the offense with a 57-yard pass for a touchdown in the first quarter of the game. LB-Spencer Paysinger led the Giants in tackles with five, including four solo stops.
The Colts will break camp in Anderson, Ind. on Friday before traveling to New York. Following Sunday's game against the Giants, the Colts will resume practices at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center.
