The Indianapolis Colts will host the Cincinnati Bengals in their final preseason contest of the 2015 season. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The matchup will mark the 24th all-time meeting between the teams in the preseason, with the Bengals holding a 15-8 advantage. It will mark the 15th consecutive season that the two teams have squared off in the preseason.
Last week, the Colts recorded their first victory of the preseason by defeating the St. Louis Rams, 24-14.
Indianapolis got off to a fast start and scored on each of its first two possessions. Kicker Adam Vinatieri connected on a 42-yard field goal on the Colts first possession. On the ensuing kickoff, rookie safety Clayton Geathers recovered an onside kick, which led to a 32-yard touchdown reception by wide receiver Andre Johnson from quarterback Andrew Luck, who led all quarterbacks with 161 yards after completing 12-of-21 passes.
The Colts defense was stout against the run as they held the Rams to 72 rushing yards on 29 attempts (2.5 avg.). St. Lou is converted only 5-of-14 (36%) third down attempts and was 1-of-3 (33%) on fourth down.
Vinatierimade all three of his field goal attempts, including a 55-yarder late in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.
Following Thursday's game, the Colts will travel to Buffalo for their regular season opener on Sept. 13 vs. the Bills.
