Colts Announce Contest for Fans to Design Secondary
Logo
INDIANAPOLIS – The Colts' primary logo long has been a blue horseshoe. It's among the NFL's most recognizable, most enduring, and it won't change.
But starting soon, it will have some more company.
And fans will have the chance to determine just what that company is.
The Colts on Wednesday announced their "Design a Horse" contest, in which fans are invited to create a logo of a horse that is unique, versatile and fun. The Colts will use the winning design as a secondary logo to complement existing logos.
Five finalists will be chosen and their submitted logo will be posted on Colts.com for fans to vote for a grand prize winner. The grand prize includes two lower level season tickets for the inaugural season at Lucas Oil Stadium plus $1,000.
All designs submitted should incore a youthful hose that is "playful yet strong," and which should appeal to Colts fans.
A hard copy printout of the logo must be included with each entry. All logo images must be submitted on a CD in both EPS and JPEG format along with a completed registration form.
The grand prize winner will be selected through a fan vote on Colts.com and announced April 26 at the Colts' annual Draft Day Party.
In addition, the Colts may use the winning logo on apparel and all other Colts marketing materials. Fans interested in submitting a logo should go to www.colts.com/designahorse for a registration form and complete list of guidelines.
