DE-DWIGHT FREENEY (on Peyton Manning comparing him to Bruce Smith)
"Bruce is one of the greatest that's done it, so that's a tremendous compliment, but I am not going to say that I am on is level yet. I am just going to keep on doing what I do. Keep on grinding and learning from the greats that were here before me."
DE-DWIGHT FREENEY (on if he is only getting better)
"Hopefully. Hopefully I can only get better from here. Hopefully my health continues to be as good as it's been and I can maintain getting after the quarterback how I do it."
DE-DWIGHT FREENEY (on Steve McNair's ability to avoid the sack)
"When I hit him, I can't just hit him like everyone else and expect him to go down. I got to hit him, grab this, grab that, tug down and use other guys to help me tug him. He's a tough match-up."
DE-DWIGHT FREENEY (on Steve McNair being the toughest quarterback to tackle)
"Yeah he is the toughest to bring down. (Drew) Bledsoe is like a tree, whatever the biggest tree is out there. He's tough to bring down too, but he doesn't move. McNair, he's a scrambling redwood."
DE-DWIGHT FREENEY (on if sacks come in bunches)
"For me it does. Like last year towards the end it came in bunches. Years past it's always been one here, one there, one there; you're always looking for the big game and never really got it. Hopefully we can keep the sacks coming in bunches, but from week to week things happen. Sometimes you get 15 great rushes and don't get one, and sometimes you only get 2 good rushes and get 2."
DE-DWIGHT FREENEY (on being Player-of-the-Month and if it feels like he had a great month)
"I think it has. I'm playing fast and I have my legs under me. Last game I think it was a good game, statistically it looked like a lot better game than it was, but I think I am playing really good."
DE-DWIGHT FREENEY (on Titans OT-Brad Hopkins)
"Brad is a veteran. He's crafty, and you have to come really with you're A-game. He knows every trick in the book. He's going to do every trick in the book on you, and so he is kind of that tackle that broke me into the league. Out of everybody I have played, Brad really just let me know this in the National Football League. I will always respect him for that."
