INDIANAPOLIS – The diving, game-clinching interception from Darius Butler has earned him the honor of AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
This is the second time Butler has received this honor in his four seasons with the Colts (2012, Week 10).
Earlier this week, Colts.com broke down the interception of Butler, which ended up being the final time the defense was on the field in Sunday's 27-24 victory over the Broncos.
The Colts offense was able to run out the remaining 6:13 after Butler's ninth career interception with Indianapolis.
Butler becomes the third Colts player to earn an AFC honor in 2015. Mike Adams was also an AFC Defensive Player of the Week (Houston, Week Five) this season. Pat McAfee was an AFC Special Teams Player of the Week back in September (Tennessee, Week Three).
Darius Butler was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
