QUOTES FROM INDIANAPOLISCOLTS PRESS CONFERENCE
WR MARVIN HARRISON
(on how it feels to be a part of all the Super Bowl festivities) "I think it's a great atmosphere. Obviously I'm happy to be here, and I look forward to enjoying every moment of it. Very few teams get to come out here and do this, so I'm definitely looking forward to this. I'm happy to be here."
(on how he is handling the media) "I don't mind doing interviews, especially when there's something good to talk about. I think this week is definitely worth the while to talk about. I don't have any problems doing interviews."
(on the Bears' defense) "The Bears definitely have one of the best defenses in the entire league. As a team, we're going to go out and prepare like we have each and every week. We look forward to going out there for the challenge. We know it's not going to be easy, but over the past couple weeks we've been practicing extremely hard knowing that we have a big challenge ahead of us. As a player, you have to go out and try to play hard each and every week no matter who you are playing and where you're playing. With that in mind, I just try to go out and give 100-percent every time."
(on what it would mean to win a Super Bowl) "It's definitely something that I've always wanted to accomplish in my career. Going out and winning football games is always something I've wanted to do and when I first came here to Indianapolis 11 years ago, I've wanted to get to the Super Bowl and win it. That's what we have the opportunity to do right now, and there's no better time to do it."
(on staying healthy during the course of his career) "I don't know how I've lasted so long. I guess I've done a great job with my training throughout the course of my career. I look forward to playing a lot longer than I currently have. I've never had a thought that crossed my mind about when I am going to finish playing, but I definitely have a lot of years left in me to play and hopefully I can get what I came to play for."
(on what makes this team different than previous Colts teams) "You never know what's going to happen during the course of the year. You just want to take it one game at a time, one week at a time. I think that's more important than anything else we did this year, was to take each and every week one step at a time. We always want to get the best advantage headed into the postseason. We went the long route to get there, but we did everything we had to do to get to this point. It wasn't easy, but we're here."
(on what got them over the hump this year) "I just think overall, we knew that we could get to this point. It was just a matter of how we are going to do it and the corrections we made to get to this point. We've been growing and maturing each and every year and we had a lot of different players play big for us and our defense played really well and a lot of key players on offense played really well. It took a team effort to get to where we are and I think that's more important than anything."
(on whether last year's disappointment made them hungrier this season) "I don't think it made us more hungry. Like I said, we know why we didn't get here last year and we went out and corrected those things we needed to correct in order to get here. This year, we didn't care what it was going to take to get to this point. We've played a lot of good defenses to get to this point, but overall we have decided that we're good enough to beat anyone and I think that's what helped us get to this point."
(on whether teams defend him differently during the playoffs) "I think during the playoffs, teams defend me pretty much the same as they do throughout the course of the year. Being that it's one-and-done [in the playoffs], they're not going to let me go out there and have big games and big plays all year long. Throughout the course of the playoffs, we are just taking what the defense is giving us and going out and putting up points on the board."
