HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on tonight's game against the Seahawks)

"It's always a little nicer when you win. This was definitely a better performance for us than last week. We got some things done and it was especially nice to see us defensively to get the ball back for our offense a few times. I thought we played with good energy, and that is what we need to do especially at home on this surface. This is our style of play. Offensively, we were kind of hit and miss. I thought our first group we had a nice drive, then we got a big play to Marvin (Harrison). It was a good start. Probably the only disappointing thing was that we are still not clicking on our return game."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the starting offense)

"We really looked at a quarter and a half. We were going to monitor it for about 25 to 28 plays. We had some field position there in the first quarter where we got the ball and did not move it. That was disappointing."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on preparing for tonight's game)

"We had some things we wanted to work on offensively and defensively. Some of the new blitzes we put in last week, they were things we wanted to take a look at and get ironed out. It was not so much game planning for Seattle, but things that we wanted to work on. Offensively, we had some tall sweeps and different things we wanted to look at. It was just a function of were we are in the pre-season."

RB-EDGERRIN JAMES (on not playing tonight)

"Of course it worked in my favor not playing, but I could have went either way. If coach (Dungy) had wanted me in, I would have played."

QB-PEYTON MANNING (on how the offense played tonight)

"We accomplished some things. Obviously you want to score every time you are in there, we did some good things and we that you can build upon."

QB-PEYTON MANNING (on how the offense played tonight)

"I found out about Edgerrin not playing tonight. I don't know if it changed out game plan or not. With Eggerrin in there, we would have ran the ball a little more, but we still were able to run when we had to. Brian (Allen) did a good job tonight."

QB-PEYTON MANNING (on how the team played tonight)

"We were able to limit our penalties and that's always good. We did a good job of that and overall we did a better job than last week. We had one turnover on special teams, but that was pretty much it."

DB-DAVID MACKLIN (on turnovers in game)

"Coach Dungy really emphasizes turnovers. That's what we have to get, in order to be the type of team we want to be. We're working day in and day out on the secondary and we're just going to continue to work on it."

DB-DAVID MACKLIN (on the touchdown he scored)

"The defensive line had too much of a hard time getting the ball, so we just kept hustling and something good came out of it."

DB-MIKE DOSS (on his spectacular hit)

"Coach Meeks coaches velocity on the football. I just wanted to have fun and contribute my part to special teams."

DB-MIKE DOSS (his view on his spectacular hit)

"I knew that it was a loud hit when the crowd went crazy; that is what you look for from the crowd. I just wanted to celebrate with my teammates in my first home game in Indianapolis and enjoy it."
