Colts Re-Sign Two Remaining Exclusive Rights Free Agents
– INDIANAPOLIS – Running back Lance Ball and linebacker Buster Davis, both exclusive rights free agents, have re-signed with the Colts the club announced today. All four of the Colts' exclusive rights free agents offered tenders by the team have re-signed, with Ball and Davis joining defensive tackle Daniel Muir and offensive lineman Dan Federkeil.
Ball (5-9, 220) initially joined the Colts' practice squad in October of last season. After signing to the active roster, Ball appeared in the Colts' final regular-season game vs. Tennessee, totaling 83 yards on 13 carries. Ball also spent time as a rookie with St. Louis in 2008 after signing as an undrafted free agent from Maryland.
Davis (5-9, 239) was claimed off waivers by the Colts from Detroit prior to the 2008 regular season. Davis appeared in six games with the Colts last season, starting three of the final four games at middle linebacker, and totaled 26 tackles, 16 solo. Davis originally was selected by Arizona in 2007 as a third-round draft choice out of Florida State.
