SAN DIEGOCHARGERS vs. *INDIANAPOLISCOLTS POST-GAME QUOTES *
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on opening comments) San DiegoChargers vs. IndianapolisColts 1/13/08
"It is always tough. You have a lot to look forward to and you come in with high expectations. You come in looking forward to playing next week and when you don't win the game, it doesn't turn out that way. There are a lot of disappointed guys in there including me. But you have to give a ton of credit to San Diego. They came in with real adversity. One of their big time players was hurt and slowed down a little bit, then (LaDainian) Tomlinson goes out, the quarterback goes out and they find the way to make the plays to win it. We said all week it would be a matter of moving the ball pretty well, we felt confident about that. We couldn't allow them to win the take-a-way battle, and we didn't get our points in the red zone. We got down there a few of times and had some give-a-ways and that is what they thrive on. You just have to give them a lot of credit. They made the defensive plays to win it when it counted. We weren't quite sharp enough. I loved our effort. I loved their effort and they just made a few more plays than we did."

"We thought about kicking a field goal, if you can get a stop, then you only need a field goal. We had a couple of plays we liked down there. Also my thought was if we can stop them from not getting the first down, then we get the ball back around mid field. They got a great punt. (Mike) Scifres is excellent and he got a good punt. We had to go a little bit farther then we had hoped. But, yes, I did think about it."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on Marvin Harrison) San DiegoChargers vs. IndianapolisColts 1/13/08
"You have to look at the first time he catches the ball, he ends up fumbling it. It could happen. I thought he was ready to go. He played hard and, well, just his knee got fatigued at the end, so we got him out and got Devin (Aromashodu) in. But I thought he did as well as he could have under the circumstances. It was just one of those games where everyone gave everything they had."
