HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (general comments) New OrleansSaints vs. IndianapolisColts 9/6/07

"There was a lot of emotion in our city the last couple of days and today just even coming over to the stadium you could feel it with our fans.  The game was just a great way to cap all that off.  I thought our guys played with a lot of energy.  The one thing we talked about last night with our young players was NFL games are 60 minutes long and you have to play the whole way and I thought we did that.  We were a little bit out of sync, just a little bit off in the first half offensively.  They played us differently than we thought they would.  They blitzed a lot, came after people in the preseason, played a lot of two-deep coverage, so we had to run the ball. I thought Joseph (Addai) and Kenton (Keith) got us going the second half with the run and when they did come after us, we were able to get some big plays."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the defense) New OrleansSaints vs. IndianapolisColts 9/6/07

"Our defense is kind of exciting to watch.  We have a lot of guys with speed that run around and play hard.  It was fun, a fun day to watch.  The possession at the end of the first half was big.  If they take it down and score they go up 17-7 it is a completely different game.  That's what football is all about.  It takes a good team because you never know how the game is going to go and what is going to unfold.  The defense made a big stop there and gave our offense a chance to get going."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on difference in first half play vs. second half) New OrleansSaints vs. IndianapolisColts 9/6/07

"That's the funny thing about it, not a real dramatic difference.  We just ran the ball a little bit more in the second half.  We converted our third downs and we hung onto the ball.  We had a chance to take a 14-0 lead, we were driving it and then Reggie (Wayne) has the fumble and all of a sudden that kind of changes the complexion of the first half.  But not a lot different other than we just knew we had run the ball a little bit more against their two-deep zones."

"I thought it was going to be tough to hold these guys down.  Watching them on tape last ye
