The Colts defeated the St. Louis Rams on the road Sunday, 42-6, improving their record to 6-0 and extending their franchise-best winning streak to 15 games.

The Rams once again failed to convert on fourth down and the Colts quickly took advantage. On the first play of the ensuing possession, second-year running back Chad Simpson ran 31 yards for the touchdown, the sixth Colts touchdown of the game. **COLTS 42, RAMS 6

Looking to milk the clock and put some insurance points on the scoreboard, the Colts mounted their longest drive of the afternoon, going 93 yards in 11 plays and 6:43 seconds. Manning passed for his third touchdown of the game when he hit rookie wide receiver Austin Collie on an eight-yard slant over the middle. **COLTS 35, RAMS 6

Minutes after Lacey's interception, starting cornerback Kelvin Hayden got one of his own. After failing to convert on third down inside the Colts' red zone, the Rams elected to go for it on fourth down. But Bulger's end zone attempt was intercepted by Hayden and returned to the seven. **

The Rams scored the first points of the third quarter when kicker Josh Brown converted a 45-yard attempt. Indianapolis returned to the ensuing kickoff to the 31. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has completed 15-of-22 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns. **COLTS 21, RAMS 6

Displaying their versatility, the Colts utilized the run in their third touchdown drive of the half. The offense rushed the ball five times in eight plays, including a six-yard touchdown run by running back Joseph Addai. **COLTS 21, RAMS 3

For the second straight defensive drive, the Colts forced the Rams three-and-out. On second down, Freeney sacked quarterback Marc Bulger for a loss of nine, pushing St. Louis back to their 2. Freeney has now registered a sack in seven consecutive games.**

The Rams responded to the Colts' touchdown drive with a 30-yard field goal from kicker Josh Brown. St. Louis set up the score when quarterback Marc Bulger hit wide receiver Donnie Avery on a flea flicker that gained 50 yards and moved them into Indianapolis territory. **COLTS 7, RAMS 3
