INDIANAPOLIS – The hope for the Colts is to have Arthur Jones return to action at Training Camp.
That was the timetable Chuck Pagano laid out earlier this week for the big defensive lineman.
Jones is currently sitting out the team's offseason program as he continues to rehab an ankle injury that cost him his entire 2015 season.
In Week Three of the 2015 preseason, an ankle injury to Jones eventually led to him going on injured reserve.
Ankle injuries have plagued Jones' two seasons in Indy. A high ankle sprain back in 2014 limited Jones to nine games in his debut season with the Colts.
While the defensive line depth grew last season, a healthy Jones would provide the Colts a versatile body who can play on run and pass downs.
"A healthy Art Jones makes an impact," Colts GM Ryan Grigson said earlier this offseason.
"(Jones) makes an impact on the stat sheet, makes an impact on how our defense plays and he's a difference maker."
Jones and Henry Anderson (ACL) remain the two long-term injuries to watch for the Colts heading into July's Training Camp.
