INDIANAPOLIS —This week's film breakdown looks at Jacoby Brissett delivering a strike to Donte Moncrief for an 18-yard touchdown in the second quarter of last night's Colts-Seahawks matchup in Seattle.
Here's the All-22 development of the play, which at the time gave Indianapolis its 15-10 lead that it would take into halftime.

](http://haysandsons.com/colts/)Setting the scene here, the Colts were starting to seize the momentum at this point in the game after a not-so-stellar start. Center Deyshawn Bond was carted off the field with what was reported as a knee injury after just the second play from scrimmage, and then Brissett threw a pick-six on the Colts' first possession of the second quarter to fall into a 10-2 hole. But after that, Indianapolis responded with a 12-play, 80-yard touchdown drive (ending on a one-yard score by Robert Turbin) to cut the lead to 10-8, and then saw Matthias Farley make an impressive play to pick off Russell Wilson on the Seahawks' ensuing drive. Nine plays later, with just 30 seconds remaining in the first half, the Colts faced a 2nd and 5 from the Seattle 18-yard line, in prime position to capture the lead heading into halftime. The most important aspect going in this three-receiver, one tight-end shotgun formation is that Moncrief is locked into man-to-man coverage at the top of the screen against Seattle cornerback Shaquill Griffin, with Earl Thomas lined up as a deep free safety 15 yards away from the line of scrimmage.THE ROUTE/CATCH
It's a quick three-step drop for Brissett, who is sure to keep his attention away from Moncrief at the beginning of the play, as to not tip off which way he's going and send Thomas, the talented safety, in that direction to help. T.Y. Hilton, Kamar Aiken and Jack Doyle are each locked up in their routes on the other side of the field, but, Brissett already knows he has the one-on-one matchup he was hoping for the entire time with Moncrief. With an extremely clean pocket to throw — also, credit Turbin for sticking his face in and helping with a Seahawks' defensive linemen — Brissett quickly turns his eyes towards Moncrief, plants his back foot and delivers a fastball to a specific spot in the left-front corner of the end zone, where he hopes his receiver, and only his receiver, can make a play.THE SCORE
The timing between Brissett and Moncrief works out perfectly. The receiver is able to turn to look for the ball, get Griffin out of his way, stop his momentum, jump in the air and pluck the ball at its highest point over the defender — all in a matter of two seconds — and then come down to the ground with the catch, in-bounds, to put six points on the board. For Moncrief, he has now caught a touchdown in four of his last five road contests, and for Brissett, the play was his second-career touchdown pass after connecting with T.Y. Hilton in the first half of the Colts’ Week 3 victory over the Cleveland Browns.
