Colts Executive Vice President Bob Terpening to Retire
INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Colts Executive Vice President Bob Terpening will retire from the organization on June 1, the club announced today.

Terpening, whose affiliation with the Colts dates back to 1970, has served in numerous personnel positions during his tenure. After initially grading films for the club while serving as head coach at Baltimore City College, Terpening worked his way through the ranks. After re-joining the Colts in 1977 following a stint in the New England scouting department, Terpening served as a college scout before being named director of pro personnel in 1982. He was named assistant general manager following the club's 1984 move to Indianapolis. Terpening was promoted to vice president in 1997, and earned subsequent title promotions in 1999 and 2000.

Terpening played a key administrative role in the club's fortunes that included divisional titles in 1987, 1999 and from 2003 to 2007. The Colts won Super Bowl XLI following the 2006 season.

A graduate of Shepherd College and West Virginia, Terpening and his wife, Virginia, have two sons and three grandchildren.
