Colts TE Dallas Clark Blog-November 6
First, I hope everyone had a great and safe Halloween. It was my son's first Halloween, and my wife found him a sweet little spider costume. I tell you what, he was the scariest spider on the block. We didn't keep him out long, but took a quick trip around the neighborhood and made a few stops. He handled the costume great, the hat with spider eyes and all. He had a great time, and mom and dad had a great time eating his candy. It's the benefit of taking a 7-month-old out trick-or-treating, you get all of his candy…just being good parents, of course. But it was nice weather and a good time, and many more fun costumes to come.
We have an important division game this weekend with Houston coming to town. It's going to be a great challenge all around. They're all tough, but coming in, they're leading the league in three-and-outs on defense. The last few years, they've improved every single year, and last year they gave us fits both games. Down in Houston, we shouldn't have even won. We had no right to win that game. We have to make sure we're sharp because they're playing really well.
The preparation and everything is the same, but it's a team that you see all of the time. You've seen them twice a year for however many years you've played. So it's a familiar team, a familiar defense. That's why I think these games are always close. It is because we know each other pretty well. They've learned how to win, they've learned how to win the close games, and now it seems like someone's coming up with a play when they need it. That's what is making them effective this year. They've put it all together. We know the challenge that we have ahead of us, and we're going to need our 12th man.
I will keep updating you every couple of Fridays here throughout the season. GO COLTS!
