Yesterday, the MIP crew traveled to Bedford. For those of you who don't know, Bedford is located about twenty miles south of Bloomington. According to MapQuest, the easiest way to go from the Colts Complex to Bedford would be to take 465 to 37 and that will take you straight into Bedford. However, that's not what Denise (our navigation system woman) told us to do. She picked the "fastest" route.
Turns out Brian must have made Denise mad and the directions she actually gave us were the "scenic" route directions. We took this back road that had a curve every fifty yards, and we couldn't even go the speed limit because we had to take these curves so slowly. Our trailer was swaying everywhere and the truck was having a hard enough time staying in one lane. Thankfully, with our skilled drivers, Brian and Pat, we were finally able to make it to the tour stop, but by no means was that the fastest route possible. That might be the last time we listen to Denise.
When we did get there, there was already a good amount of people waiting for us. Yesterday was the hottest of the tour stops as well as it had the most people so far. Since it was the hottest, many fans went over to the Bleed Blue Blood Drive to get a blue sno cone. This was evident by the number of small children that had blue mouths, and for one lucky guy an entire blue chest from where he had spilled sno cone. Overall, yesterday was a great tour stop, but by far the best part was when Papa Johns gave us free pizza for dinner.
I hope everyone can make it out to the next tour stop on Thursday, May 29th in Kokomo from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Meijer.
And like always, feel free to email me at MIP@colts.nfl.net if you have any questions, comments or fan mail!
Go Colts!!
