Colts Claim Linebacker Glenn Off Waivers, Release

INDIANAPOLIS – The Colts on Saturday waived 21 players to reach the regular season 53-player roster limit.
On Sunday, the Colts made another move.
The Colts claimed rookie linebacker Cody Glenn off waivers from the Washington Redskins, and in turn, waived fifth-year veteran safety Matt Giordano.
Glenn, 6-0, 240, was a 2009 fifth-round draft choice out of Nebraska by the Redskins.
Giordano, a former fourth-round draft choice by the Colts in 2005, started six of 55 career games in his four seasons with the club and totaled 78 defensive tackles. He had three interceptions, one of which he returned 83 yards for a touchdown in the 2007 season opener vs. New Orleans. Giordano also had 34 special teams tackles.
PRACTICE SQUAD
The Colts also announced that seven players have been added to the team's practice squad: tight end Colin Cloherty, wide receivers Sam Giguere, John Matthews and Taj Smith, defensive lineman John Gill, running back Mike Hart and offensive guard Jaimie Thomas.
