Sarrah is an Indianapolis native with an eclectic mix of interests and aspirations. Her background in gymnastics, competition teams, and classical dance helped her secure a spot on the 2008-09 squad. She says she was slightly intimidated by her new role as a "Sweetheart behind the Horseshoe," but she is always up for a challenge. "My first appearance was in Sellersburg…The way the fans welcomed us was amazing!"
After attending Indiana University, Sarrah spent a year in Washington D.C. "I always thought I never wanted to live in Indiana, but when I moved back, I realized how much there was to love about my home state. I learned a lot about myself and what I really wanted out of life." She is currently a claims adjudicator for the state and enjoys being active in the Indiana Young Democrats.
Some of her interests include: foreign travel, discovering new restaurants, collecting vintage clothing, and baking personalized birthday cakes for friends. Her adventurous spirit gives her the courage to try just about anything once. She would love to be a restaurant critic, a special effects makeup artist, or a rock star. "Or did you want something more serious?...To make the world a more tolerant place. People don't realize how wonderful 'different' is."
Sarrah's love of the Colts began long before she was a cheerleader. One of her favorite memories comes from the Super Bowl win in 2007. "We were running around Monument Circle celebrating our victory, I tripped on a crack in the side walk and scratched my leg. That scratch actually turned into a scar, and it is now referred to as my Super Bowl tattoo." She enjoys getting to know the other girls on the squad and listens to them for advice. "They are my teammates, but are also quickly becoming some of my best friends."
