Monica is originally from Indianapolis, IN. "My past dance experience includes modern, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, African, and Caribbean…all of which I learned in college." Purdue University was where she developed her passion. She has great memories from her college dance team. She performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and even opened a show for the famous Maya Angelou. Trying out to be a Colts cheerleader was a new way to showcase her skills and continue performing.

This season marked Monica's fourth year with the Colts. She cheered at Super Bowl XLI and has participated in numerous Colts appearances around the state. "It has helped me become a more outgoing person because I was very shy growing up!" She loves connecting with "the best fans in the NFL" and being involved in her community. Over the years, some of her closest friends have developed from the squad.

During the week, Monica works in Avon as a special education teacher. "I work one-on-one with a student to provide the best learning experience and atmosphere for my student to have to the chance to learn and grow." She also enjoys volunteering for The Noble Center, hanging out with friends and family, and playing word games.

Her plans for the future include continuing to teach, starting a family and traveling. Monica dreams of visiting Japan, Fiji, or anywhere with a beach! In the meantime, she is busy preparing for cheerleader tryouts for the 2009 season.
