Good morning, Colts fans and welcome to the second week of … the cheerleader offseason! I am still recovering from a busy Super Bowl week and, to be completely honest, the time off is not all that bad! It is now time to catch up on work, sleep, and school work! I woke up this morning bright and early to meet my friends Taylor and Schalen to ride together to school. I am currently attending grad school to study elementary education. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in advertising, but after working in the "real world", I decided that a career in education would be more fulfilling to my life. After a long day at school, I headed to the gym for my favorite class, Circuit Boxing! There is nothing like putting on a pair of boxing gloves and releasing my inner Hilary Swank in Million Dollar Baby! Well, I am exhausted from all of today's events, so I'm off to bed to catch some beauty sleep, after all, it is Valentine's Day tomorrow and you never know when Cupid's arrow may strike ;)

Love is in the air! Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! With a Valentine or not, I have always loved this day! On my way to work today, I listened to my favorite Mariah Carey love songs to set the mood for the day and when I got to work, one of my coworkers had made the most amazing red velvet cupcakes; they were delicious! As if my day wasn't already off to a wonderful start, I got a call from the front desk that something had arrived for me; I walked up to find a dozen beautiful, long-stemmed roses!  I finished up working and hurried home to attend a Turbo Kick class at the gym with my friend, Amy. After an intense workout, I quickly showered and went to meet Schalen and our friend Rachael for Valentine's Day dinner/movie girl's night! We saw "This Means War", which ended up being pretty good! Well, after a long, love filled day I am tired!  Goodnight, Lovebirds!

I never really do get used to these early morning classes! I am not a morning person, per se, but after a nice cup of coffee, I am ready to go! After a tiring day at school, I headed to LA Fitness to work out and then back home. I caught up on some homework and TV shows and now I'm off to bed. Not much excitement today, but I am ready for some fun with my friends tomorrow! Goodnight!

After work today, I drove straight home to meet my roommate and fellow teammate, Brittany B., we drove to the north side to meet our other teammates, Tessa and Erin B., for a belated Valentine's Day girl's night! We had dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant and then went to see "The Vow". The four of us spend a lot of time together and it never ceases to amaze me how much fun we have! We each bring very different attributes to the table and make quite the humorous group! We had a lot of fun this evening and now it is time to get some rest.  My parents are coming down from Michigan tomorrow and I can't wait to see them!

I woke up this morning excited about my parents coming to visit for the weekend! I headed to work and attempted to avoid thinking about how much cleaning I had to do before my visitors arrived! After work, I drove directly home and the cleaning process begun! My parents were almost to town, so I did a quick "turbo-clean" on my house and as I was finishing up, the doorbell rang! I really enjoy when my family comes to town, but they typically come down for Colts games, since they have season tickets, and I am usually extremely busy throughout game weekends. This visit was unlike any of the others because this time I am able to devote all of my time to them, which is great! Upon my parents' arrival, we were able to catch up, relax, and plan the rest of the weekend's festivities. We planned some fun activities, so we're off to bed! Goodnight, Colts Fans!

My parents and I woke up today and began getting ready our action-packed day! My mom has always wanted to visit the Indianapolis Zoo, so I arranged a private tour for us to better learn about the animals and see the sights. While we were at the zoo, we saw everything from the beautiful flowers in the greenhouse to a dolphin show, which was my favorite part of our visit! After the zoo, my parents and I had a late lunch on the canal. My dad had never seen the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, so after lunch, I took them to Speedway see the racetrack. My parents were amazed to see just how big the track actually is and they are contemplating coming down to experience the Indy 500 firsthand this year! In the evening, my parents and I went downtown Indy for dinner and to experience the downtown nightlife. My mom and dad mentioned that with each visit, they enjoy Indianapolis even more than the last time they were here! With only one more day to visit with my parents before they head home, it is time to get some rest. Sleep tight!

I am sad that today was my parents' last day in Indy, but we decided to make the most of it! In a couple of weeks I am taking my first trip to Europe and had a few last-minute purchases to make before my trip, so my mom, dad, and I went to the mall to tie up some loose ends. We found everything I was looking for, so I am ready to make the journey overseas! Time sure does travel fast when you're having fun and now my parents are headed home, but I am extremely thankful that they were able to take the time to come visit! Now it is time for me to catch up on some homework and get ready for another busy week! Thank you for spending the week with me, Colts Fans! God Bless!
