CHEERLEADER OF THE WEEK: KRISTINE

Check out a weekly blog from our Cheerleader of the Week, Kristine

Monday, July 5, 2010 - Well, today is not your typical Monday. I had the day off from work today because of the Fourth of July weekend, which meant it was time to relax! To celebrate the America's birthday some girls on the team and I went up North to another teammate's houseboat for the weekend. We had a great time basking in the sun, tubing, and taking a load off after our calendar photo shoot last week. Yes, I said it; we will have a CALENDAR for sale this season!!! Anyways, because we have been so busy, Brittany B. (my roommate/teammate) and I have not had much of a chance to finish decorating our new apartment, so we made a trip to Home Depot to pick up some supplies for, what we thought would be, a little paint project. We decided that we would paint a brick wall in our solarium (sunroom) bright red and had no idea what a job that would be. Being the inexperienced painters that we are, we failed to realize just how much paint a small brick wall could use, but after a second trip to Home Depot for another quart of paint, we finished the job! Now off to LA Fitness for a workout and to bed; work in the morning…Goodnight!

Tuesday, July 6, 2010 - Now, this feels more like a weekday! My alarm went off at 7:00 AM and after hitting the snooze button a couple of times, I peeled myself out of bed and was off to work. Typically, every Tuesday I leave work and head straight to practice, but because of our hard work with the calendar shoot last week, no practice this week! This break from practice could not have come at a better time because my friends are in town from Michigan for a basketball tournament and now I am able some time to spend with them. They recently became parents of two beautiful twin girls and it was wonderful to have the chance to see them and get to know the babies a little bit better. We walked around Circle Center Mall for a little while and then went back to their hotel, but not for too long because tomorrow will be an even earlier morning for me; time to go home and get some sleep.

Wednesday, July 7, 2010 - I am not really a morning person, and by not really, I mean not at all, so Wednesday mornings can be somewhat of a struggle for me. Each Wednesday I have to be at work at 7:00 AM for a weekly meeting. The early morning brings me down a little bit, but usually a cup of coffee or tea brings me back up and ready to go. I was excited today because I knew I had another fun night ahead with my fellow Michiganders, so after work I headed home for a few minutes and then to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. All I have to say is that you can't go wrong with the Cheesecake Factory; it was delicious! After dinner, the babies were getting restless, so my friends went back to their hotel and I headed to LA Fitness in attempt to work off the amazing dinner I had! I'm tired… Bedtime!

Thursday, July 8, 2010 - After work today, I drove straight to LA Fitness for a workout. We usually have a really tough workout every Thursday with our trainer, Sean, but with the week off, I need to make sure I don't fall behind. Preseason will be here before we know it! My friends headed back to Michigan earlier today, so tonight I caught an episode of one of my favorite shows, The Office, and am ready for bed!

Friday, July 9, 2010 - TGIF! I love Friday's! I went to work today and the time seemed to fly by! Now, while a lot of people my age are getting ready to hit the town, I am ready to start painting my room and believe me, after the solarium, I have about had it with painting! I was able to force myself to finish the first coat of paint and was so worn out that I sat down, watched a movie, and was ready for bed. Should be a fun day tomorrow…Sleep Tight!

Saturday, July 10, 2010 - Today I went to my first Company Picnic and, let's just say, it did not disappoint! We had everything from caricatures to horseshoes and the food…simply amazing! Okay, I guess I may be a little bias because I did help plan it, but I do think everything went well and it was enjoyable for all! After the picnic, I went home for a little nap and then out on the town. I have lived here for about a year now, but there are so many places I have yet to discover. I really do love living in the "Circle City!"

Sunday, July 11, 2010 - Sunday… already??? The weekend really seems to fly by these days with so much to do. Today I went to Tessa D's house to practice some of our dances and to hang out for a little bit. Last season we were roommates and now that we don't spend as much time together, we always have a lot to catch up on! I could not stay at Tessa's for long because I had my first softball game in really long time today. I played fast pitch when I was in high school and my first two years of college, but today we played slow pitch and it was quite a bit different than what I am used to, but it was still a lot of fun. My company has a team, so I am looking forward to playing more games with them this summer! We ended up losing by two runs, which was a disappointment, but we did have quite the comeback in the 7th inning. Hopefully we can pull off the win next time! Well, it is time for bed. Thank you for reading about my week and I look forward to seeing you at Lucas Oil Stadium on August 15th! Go Colts!
