Years of performing and a passion for dancing brought Jennie to the Colts. She is enjoying her sixth season with the cheerleaders, giving her the highest veteran status on the squad! Jennie is the first Latina to be a Colts cheerleader. She even co-hosted a monthly Spanish Colts TV show. Being a captain molds her leadership skills and helps develop a great bond with her teammates. "I always see a story behind every person… and with stories come lessons. So there is always something that you learn from each other."
Jennie was raised in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. "I'm trained in jazz, ballet, and modern dance." She has taken classes in hip hop and ballroom dancing (mambo, swing, cha-cha, tango, and more). Growing up, she traveled to San Juan to work with a dance company and a TV show. She also spent three years as the lead singer in a local band. After attending the University of Puerto Rico for a bachelor's degree, she decided move the U.S.
Jennie came to Indiana in pursuit of a master's degree from Purdue University. "That was a personal and cultural change that has helped define the woman I am today." Now she works as a chemical engineer for Eli Lilly and Company producing animal health products. Being part of the Colts organization keeps Jennie connected to her community while balancing a full-time career.
She spends her free time teaching aerobics, painting, and singing. "So if you see someone in the car rocking it, yep, that's probably me!" Her love of traveling has taken her to many exotic places, most recently Tahiti. She cannot wait to visit Italy, Spain and Australia in the future. This daredevil also loves scuba diving, sky diving and horseback riding.
As a Sweetheart behind the Horseshoe, Jennie has always fulfilled her role with grace and poise. "We are professional and talented women that help support our Indianapolis Colts on the field and also link the strong values of the Colts organization within the community." Jennie's hard work and skilled choreography can be seen every home game at Lucas Oil Stadium!
