This is Cristina's fourth season with the Indianapolis Colts. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, she moved to the U.S. when she was just 12-years-old. After finishing school at Indiana University, she moved to Fishers, IN, where she resides with her husband. She works as a language assistance program secretary for a local school township.
Growing up in South America was anything but typical. You learn to dance as soon as you can walk. "I danced ballet as a little girl and grew up in a culture where everyone dances salsa and Merengue." Moving has had a positive impact on her life. "It was one of the most challenging but quickly rewarding experiences of my life that I wouldn't trade for anything." Now Cristina dreams of traveling "everywhere," but is especially interested in Greece.
Cristina is a family girl at heart. "I love to hang out at home with my husband and my dog and get ourselves into almost impossible home improvement projects that once finally finished inspire us to start a new one." She loves the thought, "of going back to school, having kids, and being as happy as I am today."
Being a Colts Cheerleader provided Cristina some life-long friendships and great memories. She says she constantly learns from her teammates. "Everyone brings something unique to the squad." Her favorite moment so far was cheering at Super Bowl XLI. "I'm more confident, outgoing and driven because of my journey as a Colts Cheerleader…and this impact has made a great difference in my life today, in ten years and 80 more after that."
