CHEERLEADER OF THE WEEK: BAILEY

Monday, July 12, 2010- Happy Monday! This past weekend my family took a short trip to Denver, so today is a recovery day for me. Denver was beautiful! We had a lot of fun, but I was anxious to get back to my puppy, Stanley, who was sick while we were gone.

Monday, July 12, 2010- Happy Monday! This past weekend my family took a short trip to Denver, so today is a recovery day for me. Denver was beautiful! We had a lot of fun, but I was anxious to get back to my puppy, Stanley, who was sick while we were gone. I spent most of the morning playing with him, unpacking, and doing laundry. Stanley loves to help me with housework…by jumping and biting on my pants as I walk around the house! In the afternoon I went grocery shopping with my mom, and then got back home just a little before my husband, Eric. He ran by the airport on the way home to pick up two pieces of luggage that didn't make it back on the flight. Of course, out of everyone, the two women of the trip had to go a day without luggage! We were happy to see our bags back safe and sound. Eric and I ate dinner, then I watched my very favorite show, The Bachelorette. Then I was off to bed!

Tuesday, July 13, 2010- Stanley woke me up bright and early this morning, so after Eric left for work we took a little mid-morning nap. Being a teacher, I am super lucky to have the summer to myself! Naps are one of my favorite summer vacation perks. In the afternoon I ran some errands at the mall, and then headed over to Sun Tan City for a spray tan! You can visit them at Suntancity.com. After that I headed home to get ready for practice. We had last week off, so I wanted to practice a little at home, as well as get to practice early! Over the last three seasons on the squad, I've learned that the more prepared you are, the better time you'll have at practice! It was SO good to see all the girls! We see each other so much that a week apart seems like forever! We have just one month to go until our first home game, so it's crunch time! We re-learned a lot of the dances we do at every game, like our touchdown and kickoff routines. We covered a lot of material! Being a veteran always feels good at this point in the season because we already know a lot of the routines. I must say I am VERY impressed with the rookies this year! They are handling all the new material and information beautifully. I can't wait to see their faces when they step on the field, because it's all worth it J. The last hour of practice we had a great Zumba workout! After that, I headed home to watch some TV and relax with Eric and Stanley, then it was bed time. Good night!

Wednesday, July 14, 2010- Good morning! I slept in until about 9am this morning. I am cherishing my last few weeks of sleeping in before it's back to school time! Today was a rare occurrence… no practice, no appearances, no plans! I used the day to clean around the house and spend time with my family! My grandparents are in town visiting from Florida, and it was so nice to see them! In the evening, Eric and I ate dinner, watched a movie and headed to bed.

Thursday, July 15, 2010- Today I was lucky enough to spend some time with 3 kids I used to baby sit. By "kids" I mean highschool-ers that are all grown up now! That kills me! We hung out at the pool and reminisced about old times. It was so nice to get caught up on their lives and watch them laugh about all the funny things they did years ago! I have so many good memories of them! After the pool, I went home to play with Stanley and squeeze in a little "practice before practice". Practice was a HOT one! On my way home from the pool, I heard that there was a heat advisory so I knew we were in for a steamy practice! We started practice with a meeting. I love this, because we are always full of questions for Theresa! She told us that the swimsuit calendar is coming along beautifully! In just two short weeks the calendars will be here and available to buy! I don't think we could get any more excited… eeeek! The most important part of the meeting was the introduction of our newest member, Megan O! We are so excited to welcome her to the family. After the meeting we reviewed dances we have already learned, and then learned a new pre-game dance. We also went through a mock-game, showing the rookies which tunnels we come out of, where we stand for player introductions, etc. I get so excited for game day just thinking about it! At the end of the night we were all hot and exhausted! We had another short meeting to wrap things up, then I was headed for home. I didn't get home until around 10pm, so I had a late night dinner and then headed straight for bed! Good night J.

*Friday, July 16, 2010- * Happy Friday! This morning, my grandparents were coming to see my new house for the first time! Eric and I moved into our new home in April, and we're still giving tours to friends and family as they visit. We visited for a while, then after they left Stanley and I took a trip to the vet to get more medicine for him. Like I said on Monday, he was sick while we were gone in Denver, and he's still not completely recovered! Of course while we were there he didn't appear sick at all, jumping and playing with all the nurses. He's such a flirt! The vet's office is close to where Eric works, so we stopped by to say hello. After that, I went to meet my friend Terri at Starbucks. Terri is my best friend from high school, and she currently lives in Lafayette. Any time she's in Greenwood I try to catch up with her! She is getting married in October, and I wanted to get caught up on wedding plans and bridesmaid details, plus introduce her to Stanley! It was so nice to see her! After I took Stanley home, I ran some errands and then went over to my parents house for a family cookout! While there, I got the good news that my brother has been accepted to Purdue University for his sophomore year of college! He is transferring form Ball State due to changing his major. I am SO proud of him… Congrats Jake! After dinner, I went home and had a girls' night with my friend from school, Kate. Today has just been a big day of seeing friends and family… it doesn't' get better than that! I was off to bed around 1am. See you in the morning!

Saturday, July 17, 2010-Good morning! Eric had a golf outing this morning, so I was on my own for the day. I spent the morning visiting with my family and lounging by the pool! In the afternoon, I came home to get ready for a night out with Eric! His company had their summer party today, a casino night. It was so much fun! I am not a gambler, but it's easy when you're playing with fake money! We had a great time with all of his friends! That's it for today, sweet dreams!

Sunday, July 18, 2010- Eric and I were pretty lazy this morning! That's what Sundays are for I guess… until game season starts of course! Eric had a really busy weekend, so it was nice to just be at home together. We had dinner at my Aunt's house so we could visit with my grandparents one last time before they head back to Florida. After dinner, we saw "Inception" in the IMAX theatre! It was really good J. After that we were home, and I checked my calendar before bed to see what next week will bring me. Two practices, two appearances, and a workout with Sean… better get some rest! Good night, Colts fans!
