Good morning Colts fans! Welcome to my world! This is my 5th season as a Colts Cheerleader and I am excited to share my week with you...game week # 1! I arrived to work at 6:45 am this morning with a skinny vanilla latte in hand. I work for an Aesthetic and Reconstructive Facial Surgeon in Carmel, IN. My days are extremely fast paced. I love it because I enjoy helping people look and feel their best. You can follow along my typical work day if you go to www.colts.com scroll down under videos and watch "At Work With Ashli A". Today we saw patients in the office for consultations, surgical procedures, follow up visits, and post-surgery care. After seeing our wonderful patients all day, I left the office at 6:00 pm, grabbed a quick dinner and squeezed in a cardio session at LA Fitness before my hair appointment. My last stop of my long day was a hair appointment with Lindsey at Tyler Mason Salon. It felt great to sit down for the first time all day! As always, I had so much fun with my hair stylist, Lindsey. She is fantastic and I trust her "blonde expertise!" I pulled into my house around 10:30 pm, answered a few e-mails and literally fell into bed around 11:30 pm.

Good morning! Today is another busy day at work. It is a surgery day in our Aesthetic Surgery Center in the back office area, rather than a regular patient day. The patients and their families arrive first thing in the morning at 7:00 am. This allows the patients plenty of time to meet with our doctor and anesthesiolgists, and for me to take care of last minute consents, insurance, financial questions and any concerns that they may have. Today went by quick! After making sure the patients and their families were comfortable following surgery, I left work a bit early today and headed to practice at Curtain Call Dance Studio to review our routines for the big home game opener on Sunday. We practice at the dance studio on Tuesday nights, which is great because we can practice our routines in front of the mirrors. I lead an ab workout at the end of practice and then we met with our Director, Theresa, to go over a few game day notes. I drove home, ate a healthy snack and hopped into bed. Good night everyone ….

Good Morning! Today is a patient day. I am in the office bright and early again. It was a non-stop day...patient after patient all day long. After the day ended, I still had some patient calls and emails to catch up on, so I made the calls over the phone after I left and headed to LA Fitness. I took a kickbox class (which is my favorite cardio workout) from 7-8 pm. It was an intense work-out. My legs were shaking. I did not stop there...I performed an ab series on the machines and "lifted arms with the big boys" ...ha ha! By the time I arrived back home, it was 9:00 pm already. I ate a snack, attempted to turn on the tv for a few minutes, however, I ended up falling fast asleep.

Okay, one more day ... I can do it! Out the door and arrived at work for yet another busy surgery day. The surgery cases went smooth as scheduled. After the surgery cases were finished, we ended up seeing a consultation in the office. We typically only see consultations on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, unless it is a trauma related case or the doctor agrees otherwise. I took a series of photos for the doctor to anaylze with the patient during their consultation. Next, I made the patient chart and got everything ready for the doctor. The doctor discussed recommendations with the patient and I helped with procedure questions, finances, skin care treatment options, surgery scheduling, and more! I drove straight to practice at the complex after work. Tonight, we ran through all of our routines for the big game on Sunday. We cleaned our pre-game routine, end zone, and two minute quarter dances, along with our other vamps. A video crew was at practice to get some footage before the big game Sunday. We made last minute changes and I feel more than ready to show the fans what we have been working so hard for all summer. Sean, our trainer from Core Pilates, lead us through a very intense curcuit training workout on the field the last hour of practice. Core Pilates is also an amazing sponsor of the Colts Cheerleaders. Sean pushses us to the extreme and it is exhilirating. Especially, today because as he said, "you will be on national TV performing in front of the entire world Sunday." Can I just say that I hope to be able to walk in heels tomorrow at work!?

Morning ... TGIF!!! Today is a patient day at work...last day of the work week for us. The day went by quickly as usual and flowed efficiently. I left work around 5:30 pm and stopped by Sun Tan City to get a spray tan. I like to have a clear-coat spray tan two days prior to the game so that my skin looks fresh. My boyfriend, Eric, and I decided to cook a healthy lemon chicken dinner with vegetables and then went to see a movie. It was a nice relaxing night at the end of a long week.

It is Saturday, my favorite day of the week. I am up at 7:15 am to train with Sean at Core Pilates. Sean's reformer pilates workouts on Saturday mornings are the best! After working out and stretching with Sean, I had the bright idea to run a few miles and lift after leaving Sean's studio. Next, I ran errands to catch up on things from earlier in the week and packed my bag for the big game tomorrow...I am so excited! I rarely have free time on the weekends, but today I had a few hours to spare. After practicing our pre-game routines at home, I began putting photos and articles together that I keep in a big storage bin from my Mediterranean tour. Last season, I was selected as one of the lucky 12 girls to be a part of the AFE Show Troupe to perform for our military troops overseas. This was my second AFE tour abroad. Our trip to the Mediterranean was amazing! For twenty-five days we travelled to military camps in Egypt, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece, and Jordan performing an hour long variety show. I feel blessed that I was able to personally thank our troops and their families for all that they do to keep our country safe. It still feels surreal that we rode camels in Egypt to visit the Pyramids, enjoyed a boat ride floating down the Nile River and swam in the Dead Sea! Tonight, my parents came to Carmel to have dinner at Myagi's with Eric and I, his parents, along with Malori W. on the team, her husband, her dad, and brother and his parents. I ate a variety of sushi...I could eat sushi everyday. It was a blast to have such a great dinner with family and friends! Tomorrow is the first home game of the regular NFL season and it is on prime time tv at 8:20 p.m. I went home after dinner to get a good nights rest. Good night.

Good morning! Big Game Day ... Manning v. Manning! It is so exciting to perform in front of 63,000 wonderful Colts fans because we have the best fans in the NFL! I am more excited each season I cheer. I woke up and ate a big healthy breakfast, loaded my bag into the car and left to head to the stadium around 12:30 pm. We had a field practice (call time 1:30 pm) and then headed back to the locker room to get ready for appearances and of course the game. Stefani, Kathleen and I led the "Horseshoe Honey" Jr. Cheerleader group through their dance routine at the fan zone before the game. The weather was nice so the roof was open. It was such an awesome feeling to be surrounded by blue and white Colts fans. What a game!!! After an exciting WIN (38-14) against the New York Giants, I packed up my belongings, waited in traffic for a loooong time and drove home … off to bed around 1:45 AM…. It is going to be very difficult to wake up at 6:00 am for work in the morning. Good night Colts fans and thank you for following along with me this week.
Go Colts!!! :)
