Abbey is thrilled to be experiencing her first season as an NFL cheerleader. Before joining the squad last spring, she had attended just one Colts game in her life. Now, she can say that she proudly cheers from the sidelines of Lucas Oil Stadium at every home game. "Being a cheerleader has made me have such a positive outlook on life because I get the chance to make people smile, share my energy and excitement with others, and cheer on my favorite team!"
This Colts fan hails from Ferdinand, IN. She is currently a student at IUPUI where she studies dental hygiene. She also works as a server at a popular downtown restaurant. "Moving to Indianapolis on my own has really made me grow up and become much more independent, rather than relying so much on my parents." In her free time she enjoys spending time with my family and friends, going shopping, traveling, and exercising.
Abbey has an impressive background in dance. Starting at a young age, she was on her junior high and high school dance teams. During that time, she served as a captain for two years. In the summer of 2006, she was a NDA dance instructor. "I am passionate about cheering, dancing, and the Colts, so being a Colts cheerleader is the best of all worlds!" Being a rookie is not always easy, but she looks to her peers for advice. "They have taught me that no matter what, just keep a big smile on your face and stay positive!"
For Abbey, being a Colts cheerleader has been a lot of hard work but even more fun. She dreams of traveling to Australia and maybe learning a foreign language someday. "I want to be able to look back on my life when I am older and know that I accomplished great things, helped people as much as I possibly could, and impacted someone's life!"
