Monday 11/01/10

HAPPY MONDAY, Colts fans! I'm typically not a 'Monday' person, but today is just a little bit different – it's time for some Monday Night Football! I slept in until about 9:00 this morning, and got a good nights sleep for the big game against the Texans tonight! First, I packed my game day bag full of our uniforms, practice attire, and of course my HALLOWEEN costume because we got to dress up for the game (I was a bumble bee). Then, I headed to Sun Tan City, the official tanning salon of the Indianapolis Colts, and got a quick spray tan for a last-minute tan. After I had everything ready, I headed to Lucas Oil Stadium around 1:00. Once I got to the stadium, we had an hour-long practice on the field and then some down time to just relax, eat lunch, and hang out with the other girls. As game-time approached, I got ready with Tyler Mason, the official hair salon of the Colts cheerleaders, did a pregame appearance, and then got ready to take the field! The game so exciting and the fans were super loud and supportive! At halftime, we ran into Billy Ray Cyrus (who sang the national anthem at the game) and got to take a picture and sing "Achy Breaky Heart" with him – definitely the highlight of my night! After the big Colts win, I headed home and got ready for bed. Awesome day!

Tuesday 11/02/10

My alarm went off at 5:30 this morning. I start work at 7:00am on Tuesdays – I am a dental hygienist for Dr. Gary Llewellyn in Speedway. It was definitely not easy waking up after getting home at 1:00 last night from the game! I see about eight patients each day and stay busy cleaning teeth, educating the patients about oral healthcare, taking x-rays, and anything else that needs to be done in the office! After work, I headed to Curtain Call dance studio where we have our Tuesday night practices. Tonight at practice we learned the halftime show for the Veteran's Day game (it's SO cute – you're going to love it)! After practice, I headed home and got myself ready for bed…another day of work tomorrow!

Wednesday 11/03/10

Wednesdays we start at 8:00 so I got to sleep an extra hour this morning! It was another exciting day at work, but today my lack of sleep finally caught up with me! After work, I went home and took a little nap to refresh myself, and then I went to L.A. Fitness for a workout. After my workout, I met up with one of my friends from dental hygiene school and we ate at Panera and spent about an hour catching up and discussing our "big girl" jobs that we are so proud of! Finally, I did some laundry and then went to bed – Thursday is another long day of work and practice!

Thursday 11/04/10

Good morning, Colts fans! Today I didn't have to be at work until 9:00 (sleeping in until 7:30 is actually starting to feel late to me). The day went quickly . My schedule was full, and I seemed to have no down time, which is fine with me! After work, I headed to practice – this time at the Colts complex. Tonight at practice, we reviewed our routines for the November 14th game and continued to put together our halftime show! We finished up with an intense workout from our trainer, Sean – a lot of silly yoga moves tonight, which was…. Interesting! J I think I'll be sore tomorrow, but that's the way I like it! After practice was the usual, go home and get ready for bed. Back to work at 7:00am in the morning!

Friday 11/05/10

T.G.I.F. By the time Friday rolls around, I'm usually ready for a little break after the busy week of work and cheerleading practice! Luckily on Fridays, we only work a half-day so I'm usually finished by 12:00 or 1:00. Today, my last couple of patients ended up cancelling so I was able to leave work around 11:00 and got to go back home for a nap (which ended up being about 3 hours long – I was exhausted)! When I woke up, I got some errands done, went to the gym, and cleaned my entire apartment from top to bottom. Then, my roommate and I relaxed all evening, made a pizza, and watched movies! I always enjoy nights in, and just hanging out on my couch all night!

Saturday 11/06/10

I got to sleep in this morning FINALLY! I woke up around 9:30am and got ready for my workout with our trainer, Sean, at Core Pilates in Carmel. My workout was from 11:00-12:00 and we do a series of Pilates exercises with his TRX and Reformer equipment. It always gives me such a good workout and I'm sore for days, which I mentioned earlier is definitely okay with me – at least I know it's working! After my workout, Breanna and I went browsing around at Keystone Mall and then met up with Kristine at Naked Chopstix for some sushi. Then, we got our bags packed and headed to Tessa C's house for the evening for a squad sleepover! It was so much fun having a bonding evening with the girls and just talking and laughing and playing board games – these girls nights are the best!!

Sunday 11/07/10

It's Sunday and time to RELAX all day! I started out the day by going to the movies with my roommate to see "Due Date." It was so hilarious, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who loves funny movies. Then, I did some laundry and just laid around all day until the Colts vs. Eagles game came on. I watched the game with some friends and could not stop jumping up and down towards the end – we were SO close to winning that at the last minute! It was a sad loss, but I still BELIEVE IN BLUE and look forward to cheering them on the rest of the season – I want to go back to the SuperBowl! J GO COLTS!
