Twelfth Man to be on Permanent Signs in Lucas Oil
Stadium
INDIANAPOLIS - In their 25th season in Indianapolis, the Colts are moving into their new game-day home next season.
Pictures of the fans will decorate the walls.
The Colts, as part of their 25th anniversary season, are giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime opunity to have their picture displayed on one of 200 large permanent banners in Lucas Oil Stadium, the state-of-the-art, retractable-roof facility scheduled to open in downtown Indianapolis in time for the NFL's 2008 NFL season.
A photo shoot will be held at the Colts' practice facility on Wednesday, March 19, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with team photographers on hand. Fans are encouraged to wear their craziest game day attire, which may include face painting, blue hair or whatever fans would like to show they are the "Biggest Colts Fan."
The team will select the top 200 pictures as banners inside the new stadium. From the 200 pictures, one will be chosen as the winner of the "Colts Crazy Fan Contest."
Judging will be done by the Colts' marketing staff, with the winning picture winning a "VIP Experience'' to the 2008 regular-season home opener.
The VIP experience will include four tickets, pregame on-field sideline access, a limousine to and from the game and dinner for four to a downtown restaurant.
Fans are encouraged to arrive by 6 p.m. Wednesday to ensure their photograph will be taken. Fans being photographed for the contest will be asked to sign a waiver granting rights of the photograph to the Colts.
