ANDERSON UNIVERSITY IS HOME AWAY FROM HOME
INDIANAPOLIS – Come Sunday, the Colts return to a familiar setting. Indianapolis has shifted north to the city of Anderson and the campus of Anderson University on 16 prior occasions. As Sunday dawns, the club's 17th training camp will ensue.
The sounds of moving already are underway at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center with Graebel vans transporting equipment and supplies for the start of the club's second consecutive camp in Anderson, the location where the club also trained from 1984-98.
"Anderson University has served as a tremendous training camp facility for our team and we are excited to return," said Colts Vice President and General Manager Chris Polian. "The time we spend at Anderson gives our fans a chance to connect with our team and we want to take full advantage of that opportunity."
"The entire staff is looking forward to getting training camp started at Anderson," said Head Coach Jim Caldwell. "It will mark the first time this year we'll be able to practice and compete together as a team and I can't think of a better way to solidify our group than in front of our fans at training camp."
All players will report to camp on Sunday, July 1, and the first practice commences on Monday. Today, the club issued the camp practice schedule.
