THE SKINNY:
The Colts in 2019 return both starters at safety in Clayton Geathers and Malik Hooker, but boast plenty of depth, as well.
The team heads into training camp with the likes of Matthias Farley and George Odum — two key special teams contributors — returning, while two newcomers — veteran Derrick Kindred and fourth-round pick Khari Willis — look to add their talents to the back end of coordinator Matt Eberflus' defense.
Isaiah Johnson and Rolan Milligan, meanwhile, also look to turn some heads and parlay strong camps and preseason reps into spots on the 53-man roster.
While health at times has been an issue at safety in recent seasons — Farley suffered a season-ending wrist injury Week 5 last year, while both Geathers and Hooker missed time with various nagging issues throughout the year — the Colts will be banking on one of the more talented safety groups in the league to limit big plays once again in 2019.
