2012 OPPONENTS SET

In addition to playing six games against the AFC South in 2012, Indianapolis will meet teams from the AFC East and the NFC North next season.

INDIANAPOLIS – With the 2011 season being concluded, Indianapolis has its 2012 schedule confirmed.

In addition to hosting and visiting its AFC South rivals, Indianapolis will host Buffalo, Miami, Green Bay, Minnesota and Cleveland.  The Colts will travel to New England, the New York Jets, Chicago, Detroit and Kansas City.

The Colts last played the AFC East in 2009 and the NFC North in 2008.  In 2009, Indianapolis hosted New England and the New York Jets, while visiting Miami and Buffalo.  The Colts beat the Patriots and Dolphins, but fell to the Jets and Bills.  The venues will switch for the 2012 dates.  Indianapolis hosted Chicago and Detroit in 2008, while visiting Minnesota and Green Bay.  The Colts lost to the Bears in the first regular-season game in Lucas Oil Stadium and later fell to the Packers at Lambeau Field.  Indianapolis won in the Metrodome over the Vikings and won a home date over the Lions.

The Colts also will play the Browns and Chiefs next season based on divisional finishes in 2011.
